PS3 Home

I saw this game the other day on Youtube and it was fun. This game is like the Sims,But this game can go online and meet other Sims. But in PS Home they don't call the character we're using a Sim,They called it an avatar.(I'm just using The Sims as a reference)

It is available directly from the Playstation 3 XrossMediaBar.The membership is free and only requires a PSN account. But the best thing of this game is of it high graphic detail.Furthermore,we can design our own avatar according to our own liking.User can decorate their own personal apartment with default, bought or won items.

Your room:

We can also travel to many kind of public places that you can go in PS Home.

The Central Plaza:
This is where avatars usually start then chat and hang out before they go to other places. The Central Plaza in some places is not the same.Maybe the one in Japan and Asia is not the same in the picture above. This one maybe in North America.

Movie Theater:

This is a virtual cinema where viewers can see latest movie trailer movie, films, and even full length TV shows.Videos are displayed in the 3D environment on virtual video screens which can be viewed full screen.Users can go into the cinema and take a seat. The dynamic video content is reduced to standard definition to reduce loading time. The Asian and Japan Home Theater have two lobbies and 4 cinemas. While the European and North American have 4 lobbies and 10 cinemas.North Americas also features a shop where users can buy movie related items such movie T-shirt and few others. In Japan theater from time to time, has a kiosk of a sort set up for events that are occurring.

Bowling Alley

This is the place for those who wants to play bowling with their online friends. This place also got a variety of arcade games.Prizes are awarded for those who beat the arcade machine games. There are many types of arcade games such as Pac-Man,Dig Dug,Galaga,Dragon Spirit and many more.

The Shopping Centre
It is called the Mall at North America. The Shopping Mall at Japan and Asia. This where all purchases made. You can purchase clothes for our avatar or furniture for our room.Purchases can be made by using Playstation Network Wallet fund. Similar purchasing at the Playstation Store. There is also Diesel clothes and Lignet Rose furniture sold here.

The Gamer's Lounge or The Home Cafe

This where users meet up and chat. This place has a water feature,a wine gallery and chairs.Which is slowly becoming an event space for developers talks and parties.

Communication

How do we communicate in PS Home? Easy.We can chat by on screen keyboard using you PS 3 joystick or we can make calls to specific person. But now I saw that Sony is also selling the PS3 wireless keyboards.

That is all from me.Please leave a comment.

Green Technology

Bismillah al rahman al rahim "In the name of God, most Gracious, most Compassionate".

Peace be upon you,

To all readers, today my blog topic is Green Technology. In my opinion greentech is divide in many branches, but I only will touch these sub topics for the time being, transportation, renewable energy and environmental engineering.

Transportation

Sustainable transport (or green transport) is a concept, an ideology and, in some

countries, a governmental policy that consists of strengthening or replacing the

current transport systems of an urban/suburban area with more fuel-efficient, space-

saving and healthy lifestyle-promoting alternatives. The term refers to any means of

transport with low impact on the environment, and includes human or animal muscle-

powered vehicles, low-carbon fueled vehicles, any kind of vehicle using a renewable

source of energy for its propulsion. The most common usage of green transport is

walking. A common form of green transport vehicles are hybrid vehicles. Hybrid cars

use an internal combustion engine combined with an electric engine. Biofuel

powered vehicles use fuels derived from plant sources, such as vegetable oil,

biodiesel, or bioalcohol for their propultion.

Example of green vehicles:
1)

The Toyota Prius (pronounced /ˈpriːəs/) is a full hybrid electric mid-size car

developed and manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation. It first went on sale in

Japan in 1997, making it the first mass-produced hybrid vehicle. It was subsequently

introduced worldwide in 2001. The Prius is sold in more than 40 countries and

regions, with its largest markets being those of Japan and North America.

How do hybrid cars work?

A hybrid vehicle is a vehicle that uses two or more distinct power sources to move

the vehicle.[1] The term most commonly refers to hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs),

which combine an internal combustion engine and one or more electric motors.

2)

The Tesla Roadster is an all-electric sports car produced by the electric car firm

Tesla Motors. The Roadster is the only highway-capable electric vehicle for sale

today; all other highway-capable EVs are prototypes or evaluation series from

automakers that are trying to determine whether to go forward with an electric

vehicle program.[2]

The Roadster is the first production automobile to use lithium-ion battery cells and

the first production EV to travel more than 200 miles (320 km) per charge.[3] The

world distance record of 501 km (311 mi) for a production electric car on a single

charge was set by a Roadster on October 27th, 2009 during the Global Green Challenge

in outback Australia.[4]

According to an independent analysis from the United States Environmental Protection

Agency, the Roadster can travel 244 miles (393 km) on a single charge of its lithium-

ion battery pack, and can accelerate from 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) in 3.7 seconds. The

Roadster's efficiency, as of September 2008, was reported as 120 mpgge (2.0 L/100

km). It uses 135 W·h/km (21.7 kW·h/100mi or 490 kJ/km) battery-to-wheel, and has an

efficiency of 92% on average.[5][6]

Tesla has shipped more than 900 Roadsters to customers in the United States and

Europe, and it is taking orders from Canada, with Canadian deliveries expected to

begin soon.[7] The base price is US$109,000.

Please go to http://www.teslamotors.com/performance/electric_power.php for more details.

3)

Maglev, or magnetic levitation, is a system of transportation that suspends, guides

and propels vehicles, predominantly trains, using magnetic levitation from a very

large number of magnets for lift and propulsion. This method has the potential to be

faster, quieter and smoother than wheeled mass transit systems. The power needed for

levitation is usually not a particularly large percentage of the overall consumption;

most of the power used is needed to overcome air drag, as with any other high speed

train.

How do a maglev train works?

That is all from my blog now. There is more to come! Please leave your comment because that I am still new to this blogging stuff.

Peace be upon you.
